Travel
Puglia, the heel of Italy, is a region known for its vita lenta, amazing food, and beautiful coast line.

If you manage to add a few more days to your trip before or after our wedding, you won't regret it. We'll be around as of September 1st ourselves and will organize more or less spontaneous gatherings for whoever is there.
For any advice of where to go, don't hesitate to approach us.

Until then, we just recommend to book your accommodation, flights and rental cars as soon as possible, as September is still a popular travel time.
Flying in
You can fly to Bari BRI (1 hour by car) or Brindisi BDS (45 minutes by car).
Getting around
We advise booking a rental car to pick up at the airport. We usually book ours on Check24 Rental Cars (German website) and get the full insurance package (a must in Southern Italy!), a second driver, and without any kilometer limits. Make sure you don't accept other insurances they sell at the counter when picking the car up.
A car is most convenient and economic to reach our locations and to get to the airport. If you are unable to get one, let us know and we'll connect you to somebody who can give you a ride!
Driving
Driving in Puglia is an adventure in itself. Indicators are never used, a turning lane doesn't always require a real turn and parking is an art. As long as a Fiat Panda can pass by, almost anything is allowed. Hazard warning lights signify that all traffic rules are suspended.
Keep this in mind, enjoy the action, don't give yourself away as a tourist too often by flashing your lights and always keep your eyes open.
In the countryside, traffic is very quiet. There are no speed cameras, occasionally the "carabinieri" are on the side, but they generally give a pass to tourists and girls. The drink-drive limit is 0.5.
